The Board of Directors of the Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women’s Shelter is pursuing increased community involvement with the GRM. Over the past month, the board of directors has been discussing with staff, clients, and itself the overall effectiveness of the Mission. There is a need for more financial support for the current operation. The board of directors will be available to visit churches and other organizations to speak about the ministry of GRM. For groups desiring a hands-on experience serving others, GRM is offering Sunday evenings for feeding the bodies and souls of our residents. Your group will provide the 6:00 evening meal and provide leadership with the 7:00 p.m. Sunday Chapel Service. The meal will need to be prepared on-site to adhere to health codes. Anyone interested in hearing about the GRM or serving a Sunday meal and Chapel Service should contact Director Darrell Grimm at the Mission.
