From the Director’s Desk This month brings us to a very busy time of the year. Everyone is running around trying to get ready for Christmas, we buy gifts, make plans for Christmas dinner, and have work parties and so many other things that go along with the hustle and bustle of the “season.” It seems as if every year the decorations come out earlier and the sales come sooner. This time of year has become so commercialized that the true meaning of the season has been lost in all the business. I want to encourage us to not forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas. The reason we celebrate is because God sent His only Son to be born, live a perfect life, and die for the sins of all mankind. We do not truly know the date which Jesus was born, but to me that does not really matter. What matters is that He was born and died for our sin! The world and society has forgotten this fact. They have replaced the CHRIST in CHRISTmas with an X. This means that they are taking Christ right out of CHRISTmas. As we come to this special time, celebrate with friends and family but let us never forget the real reason we celebrate and make Him known. Have a Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

Here are the statistics for the month of November Total for month per day (3 meals per day) Meals – 2,850 Lodging per night (Men, Women, & Children) People per Night- 53 Total food boxes for the month Food Boxes – 386 All of this is only possible because of the donations that are made

Children’s Christmas Toy Give Away Sign up December 1st – 12th *Ages 2 - 12 years old *Only 61401 zip code *Sign up at the donation door 8:00am – 4:00pm *We could use some socks and underwear to give away during this time. *One present per child *Sign up in the donation area (NOT MAIN OFFICE)
